A photograph of a long, tall and wide corridor. The right hand wall and half of the left wall are painted in two tones of blue, similar to those found in hospitals. There are small artworks in white frames on the wall, but we can't see the detail from this vantage point. The nearest part of the left hand wall is white and has written on it, in large, cursive text the following: Remember, you are sick, but that's okay.
Inside a white-walled exhibition space. The floor is covered with a layer of living moss out of which different arrangements of orchids are growing, and on the wall funeral flowers spelling the letters 'BRB'. Sitting on the moss is a large black bench, which the camera taking the picture is positioned behind. In front of the bench is a large projection screen in the corner of the room.
A room with plain white walls and panels overlaid on an older brick structure is sparsely furnished in a seemingly ad-hoc manner. To our left, a flatscreen TV shows a heart monitor signal. The cables from the screen trail on the floor, as if set-up temporariliy. In the background a CRT monitor sits on the cork floor, propped up at one end on a white foam block. To the right, lettuce is being fed hydroponically from a drip in a wooden standing frame seemingly made for that specific task.

Lizzy Rose (1988-2022): Things I Have Learned The Hard Way

I worked with artist Katie Hare to organise a project celebrating the life and artwork of our friend Lizzy Rose, who died at the beginning of the 2022 following a battle with long-term illness. 

The project website is live (as of March 2023) and the exhibition opened from 31 March-23 April at four venues in Margate.
